A Very Special Event for Kids-- Let’s Learn about the Pipa!
ELLA has partnered with Boundless Parenting Group (BPG) to bring you a very special guest presentation by the talented Carrie Wang of Echo Pipa Studio for kids, ages 6 thru 14, and their parents.*
This is a FREE event.
The pipa is a beautiful four-stringed Chinese instrument that is plucked to make lovely, calming music.
We will learn the secrets and stories of this remarkable instrument, as well as the structure, sound, and fingering positions.
Then, everyone will get a hands-on learning experience to try the pipa! Carrie will teach us the basic hand positions and how to play “Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star.” What fun!
We are so excited about this event and so grateful to Carrie Wang and BPG for helping to make this happen.
Please be sure to REGISTER quickly, as space is limited, and we need to have an accurate count.
- NOTE: The age requirement is due to the Pipa being a large instrument and younger children not being able to hold it in order to try it. Younger children are welcome to attend; however, they will not be able to participate in the hands-on experience.
- NOTE: Parents must accompany their child at the event at all times.
- NOTE: If you do not have a child, but would still like to attend, you are welcome to join us!
- NOTE: The event has been planned over spring break so the kids will be able to attend in the morning, without missing school ;-)
